Staten Island
A brand-new masonry fireplace and smoke chamber built from the ground up as part of a full house renovation on Staten Island.
As part of a complete new-house renovation, our team constructed a brand-new masonry fireplace and smoke chamber system from the ground up. This stage of the project involved precision masonry work to form the smoke chamber and properly transition the fireplace into the vertical chimney flue.
The smoke chamber was built course by course, with controlled masonry transitions designed to create the right geometry for efficient draft and exhaust flow. String lines, professional leveling equipment and continuous measurements were used throughout to keep alignment, dimensions and structural integrity accurate.
This was a custom fireplace and chimney build integrated directly into the new home construction, requiring close coordination with the building framing and the surrounding structural components.
