A new structural steel support system was constructed beneath the fireplace opening to provide a strong, stable foundation for the new masonry hearth.
The framing was carefully positioned and reinforced to properly support the weight of the new hearth, firebox and finished masonry assembly, while integrating with the surrounding renovation work.
